Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new accusations in his ongoing federal trial, as a former employee told the court that the music mogul once kidnapped her at gunpoint and took her to rapper Kid Cudi’s home with the intent to kill him.
The claims were made by Capricorn Clark, a longtime associate who worked for Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment in various roles over more than a decade. She testified that the incident happened in 2011, when Combs allegedly found out that his former girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, was in a relationship with Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi.
Clark recalled that Combs and a bodyguard showed up unannounced at her apartment. He had a gun in hand and ordered her to get dressed, saying they were going to kill Cudi. According to her, he forced her into a vehicle and made her drive with them to Cudi’s Los Angeles home.
At the time, Clark says she felt terrified but went along out of fear. Once there, Combs and the bodyguard entered the property while she stayed behind in the car. She used that moment to warn Cassie by phone, but when Combs saw her on the call, he became even more furious. Clark testified that he threatened to kill her and others if she didn’t help convince Kid Cudi that he had nothing to do with a previous break-in at Cudi’s home.
The court had already heard about that incident when Kid Cudi testified earlier in the trial. He spoke about a break-in and a Molotov cocktail attack on his Porsche, which he suspected was linked to Combs. He also discussed his past relationship with Cassie, who has made separate legal claims against the music producer.
Combs, now 55, has pleaded not guilty to several federal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and the transport of individuals for illegal sexual activity. If convicted, he faces the possibility of life in prison.
Clark’s testimony also revealed a troubling pattern in her work experience with Combs. She said that on her first day working for him, he threatened her life because she had worked with other artists he considered rivals. Despite the threats and volatile behavior, Clark said she stayed in his circle, believing she had a duty to protect him and recognizing his influence in the business world.
The case against Combs has drawn global attention, not only because of his celebrity status but also due to the seriousness of the charges. Several civil lawsuits have already been filed, containing allegations similar to those in the criminal trial. Combs has denied all claims in both criminal and civil court.
The trial is ongoing and continues to reveal disturbing details from witnesses who once worked closely with one of hip-hop’s biggest names. As testimony unfolds, the world is watching to see how the case against Sean Combs develops in the weeks ahead.
