Christians have been mandated to take the message of Jesus Christ’s resurrection to the world. Associate Pastor with the United Methodist Church Gu Negetavah, Rev. Philibus Auta, made the call in his Easter message to the congregation.
According to Rev. Auta, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a historical day in the life of Christian faith, giving believers victory over calamity, challenges, sicknesses, and principalities. “I see today as a historical day in the life of Christian faith,” he said, citing Luke 24:2-35.
Rev. Auta emphasized that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a source of confidence for believers, regardless of denomination. “The resurrection of Jesus Christ gave us victory over calamity, challenges over sicknesses and over principalities,” he added.
The cleric called on Christians to reflect on the resurrection of Jesus Christ and to share the message with the world. “God has given believers the mandate to take the message of Jesus Christ’s resurrection power to the world,” Rev. Auta said.
