From NTA News Anchor to Media Innovator

Eugenia Abu is one of Nigeria’s most distinguished broadcast journalists, celebrated for her professionalism, poise, and longevity in the media industry. Abu anchored the NTA’s flagship 9:00 pm news for an impressive 17 years, earning nationwide recognition. Her clarity, composure, and insightful reporting made her a household name, while her dedication to ethical journalism set benchmarks for aspiring news anchors.

During her 34 years at NTA, she rose to the position of Executive Director, contributing to the organisation not only in front of the camera but also in shaping policy and mentoring young journalists.
