The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the official Hajj fare for the 2025 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
According to NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Usman, pilgrims from the Southern states will pay ₦8.7 million, while those from the Northern Zone will pay ₦8.4 million. Pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa Zone will pay a slightly lower fare of ₦8.3 million.
The announcement, made on Monday, followed extensive consultations and collaboration with stakeholders, including the Presidency and State Pilgrims Welfare Boards.
Professor Usman emphasized that NAHCON made efforts to keep the fare within a reasonable range despite economic challenges. He commended the contributions of the Forum of Executive Secretaries of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies, and Commissions, as well as representatives of the Presidency, in achieving this outcome.
Fare Breakdown by Zone:
Borno and Adamawa Zone: ₦8,327,125.59
Southern States: ₦8,784,085.59
Northern Zone: ₦8,457,685.59
Professor Usman urged intending pilgrims to adhere to registration timelines and Saudi Arabian guidelines to avoid last-minute inconveniences. He also stressed the importance of early payment to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience.
