FHA Commences Construction of Renewed Hope Estate in Kaduna

The Federal Housing Authority has commenced the construction of the Renewed Hope Housing Estate in Sobawa, Rigachikun, Kaduna.

This was announced in a statement by Oyetunde Ojo, managing director and chief executive of the FHA, on Monday, following the groundbreaking ceremony in Kaduna.

The project, part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Housing Programme, was formally inaugurated by the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani.

Mr Ojo commended the governor for allocating prime land to the authority and for his commitment to supporting FHA’s housing initiatives in the state.

“We are very happy to be back in Kaduna State, which has become a home for us in the FHA,” he said.

He explained that the initiative went beyond adding to Nigeria’s housing stock.

“It marks the beginning of the fulfilment of President Tinubu’s promise to provide liveable and affordable housing for Nigerians.

“Adequate housing is essential for optimal productivity, and FHA is more committed than ever to helping Nigerians access quality homes. An adequately housed person has all the potential for maximum productivity and a good life.

“FHA is not only going to build this estate; we are also going to create a liveable environment, which is our signature, a place Nigerians will be proud to call home,” Mr Ojo said.

He reiterated FHA’s commitment to expanding the Renewed Hope estates across the country, noting that the authority commenced projects in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, on November 6.

He added that plans had been concluded for additional groundbreaking ceremonies in Abia, Niger, Ogun, Kebbi, Ekiti, and Kogi.

Mr Ojo also assured that the Kaduna estate, fully funded by FHA through internally generated revenue, would be completed speedily.

He added that the management team had been completing and commissioning inherited projects in line with Mr Tinubu’s directive.

He further quoted Mr Sani as reaffirming his commitment to the Renewed Hope Housing Estate in Kaduna, describing it as a project designed to provide relief for the less privileged and serve as a symbol of hope and dignity for residents of the state.

The governor pledged the Kaduna government’s full support to ensure the timely completion of the project.
