In a poignant display of humility and a commitment to unity, Chief Edward Onoja, has paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Elder Simon Achuba, at his Abuja residence.
The meeting transcended a mere formal encounter, evolving into a sacred moment of reconciliation and introspection about their shared journey in serving Kogi State.
Mr Onoja addressed lingering misconceptions that he had orchestrated Elder Achuba’s impeachment to assume his office. “Nothing could be farther from the truth,” he emphasised, seeking forgiveness for any hurt he may have caused, knowingly or unknowingly. This gesture underscores his dedication to healing wounds and fostering a spirit of love and unity.
True leadership, Onoja noted, lies not in holding grudges but in building bridges and moving forward with unity. “True leadership is not in holding grudges, but in building bridges, healing wounds, and moving forward with a spirit of love and unity,” he reflected.
Elder Achuba’s large heart, wise counsel, and warm hospitality were palpable during the meeting. Their conversation reaffirmed Onoja’s conviction that Kogi State and the Igala nation’s destiny can only be fulfilled by rising above bitterness and working together for the greater good.
“I am deeply grateful for Elder Achuba’s large heart, wise counsel, and warm hospitality,” Onoja expressed, highlighting the significance of their reunion. As they look to the future, their commitment to unity and cooperation serves as a beacon of hope for their people.
