The Proprietor of FOSLA Academy was almost moved to tears when one of the Pioneer students, Abdulrahman Awoniyi, paid a surprise visit to the school with massive gift items which included balls, Jerseys, and a signed personal club Jersey framed in a glass.
Awoniyi was one of the Pioneer students of the Academy that enjoyed the full scholarship scheme of Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi.
He currently plays for FC Riga, Latvia, and he felt he needed to come and give back to the school where his skills were honed, academically tutored, and nurtured to stardom.
In the Proprietor’s remark, he said: “I woke up this morning to come and do my normal work of putting the right infrastructure for the staff and students to do their work. Especially, having received the report of the CAF Under – 15 African Schools Football Championship recently held in Togo.”
“I never envisaged or anticipated this visit, not even in the immediate future. I cannot but return all glory to Allah, who has been providing the funds that I am using to assist the indigent in the society.”
The Ex-Academy player was accompanied by the National U-15 coach, Haruna Ilerika, to the warm embrace of the management staff of the Academy with students who saw him as a role model and promised to do the same and more by the mercy and grace of God.
