Freedom Behind Bars: As Dunamis Senior Pastors Bring Hope, Legal Aid, Relief Items, Materials To inmates
The Senior Pastors of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, and his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, made an impactful humanitarian visit to the Kuje Medium Security Correctional Centre in Abuja as the visit combined spiritual inspiration with practical assistance, leaving an indelible mark on the inmates.
Accompanied by a team of distinguished lawyers, including P.H. Ogbulu (SAN), Barrister Felix Tyokase, and Barrister Lydia Jim Ibu, they provided free legal services aimed at helping inmates navigate their paths to freedom.
Addressing journalists at the facility, Dr Paul Enenche said; “mentality is the determinant of liberty, the bible said you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”.
“We saw the case of the prodigal son when he came to his senses, that was when he came to his changes and liberty, people are bound because of how they think, a change of mind is a change if life, as he thinkerh in his life so is he”.
And during a stirring sermon titled “The Forces of Freedom” at the facility’s Chapel of Freedom, Dr. Paul Enenche outlined transformative principles like the knowledge of God, mindset shifts, and the power of praise. “Liberty happens when mentality is changed,” he told the inmates. “If your prison doesn’t stop your praise, your praise will bring you out of your prison.”
Dr. Becky Enenche complemented the message with heartfelt prayers, addressing issues such as addiction and generational curses. She emphasized the power of faith to break chains and usher in a new beginning.
The legal team also spoke about their mission. “We are here on behalf of God’s servants, Dr. Paul Enenche and his handmaiden, Dr. Becky Enenche, to provide free legal services and assist inmates eligible for release through legal means,” a representative said.
AS Duza, the public relations officer of the correctional facility, lauded the Enenches’ compassion, noting the far-reaching impact of their visit. Senior officers, including DCC Aminu Abubakar and other key personnel, warmly welcomed the guests and guided them on a tour of the facility’s skill acquisition programs, which include tailoring, shoemaking, and soap making.
The visit culminated in a presentation of food supplies and relief materials to the inmates, a gesture that elicited joy and gratitude.
Through the outreach, the Dunamis Church exemplifies its dedication to societal transformation, blending spiritual guidance with practical support to uplift marginalized communities.
