This appreciation was conveyed in a press statement signed by the Chairman of the Coalition, Alhaji Rabiu Ahmad Dankoli, on Sunday.

According to the statement, the gesture by these prominent individuals reflects a deep commitment to the advancement of healthcare education and services in Funtua and the nation at large.

“The Coalition of Funtua Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) extends heartfelt appreciation to the generous philanthropists who have demonstrated their commitment to the growth and development of the newly established Federal University of Medical Sciences, Funtua,” the statement read.

Those recognized for their contributions include:

Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Garba (Cocoa) – ₦4,000,000.00

Hon. Musa Adamu Funtua (Commissioner for Health, Katsina State) – ₦2,000,000.00

Hon. Abubakar Muhammad Total (Member, Katsina State House of Assembly) – ₦1,000,000.00

Alhaji Ahmadu Ardo – ₦500,000.00 (Pledged)

Justice Amiru Sanusi (Rtd.) – ₦200,000.00 (Pledged)

“These contributions are not only timely but also instrumental in ensuring a smooth take-off and operation of the university, which is expected to greatly enhance healthcare education and services in the country,” Dankoli emphasized.

The Coalition offered prayers for the benefactors, asking Almighty Allah to reward their selflessness, increase their wealth, and elevate their status as dedicated servants of the community.

“This gesture serves as a shining example of how collective community action and philanthropy can accelerate development and foster sustainable progress,” the Coalition concluded.

The Federal University of Medical Sciences, Funtua, is poised to become a cornerstone of healthcare education in Nigeria, and this community-driven support is seen as a vital foundation for its success.
