Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has appointed Alhaji Abubakar Adamu as the new Chairman of the Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, effective immediately. This decision was announced in a press release by Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
Governor Alia expressed his confidence in Adamu’s ability to lead the board, stating, “Given his experience and proven track record, Adamu will be able to properly and diligently steer the affairs of Muslim pilgrims at all times.” The Governor also congratulated Adamu on his appointment and emphasized the importance of upholding the administration’s ideals.
The Governor urged Adamu to prioritize the interests of Benue State in all his official engagements, as outlined in the administration’s vision and mission. He also charged Adamu to familiarize himself with the blueprint titled “A Strategic Plan for a Greater Benue,” which will serve as a guide for his tenure.
According to the press release, Adamu’s appointment is expected to bring significant improvements to the management and welfare of Muslim pilgrims in Benue State. As the new Chairman of the Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, Adamu will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of pilgrimage programs and services.
