The President of Oganenigu People’s Mandate (OPM), Prophet Abimaje, has commended Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for starting construction on the Iyale-Odolu Oganenigu road.
This project is expected to bring significant development to the Oganenigu Ward in Dekina Local Government Area, impacting 11 communities including Ajachaga, Ajatalawo, Odolu Efu, Odolu Ojegbe, Otutulu, Awujeje, Oti Ate, Oti Ogane, Ugbabo, and Ajadafo.
In a statement signed by Prophet Abimaje, the organisation extended gratitude to the Kogi State government for this development. “We extend our gratitude to the Kogi State government, led by His Excellency Usman Ododo, and to the state Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development,” the statement read.
A special acknowledgment was given to Dr. Ocholi, described as “the proudest son of the land,” for this “remarkable and historic milestone.” Prophet Abimaje highlighted the significance of this project for the community.
The construction work has officially begun. The Kogi State government handed over the site for construction to Swaleys Nigeria Ltd through the Ministry of Energy and Rural Development. Residents of the 11 communities in Oganenigu Ward are excited about the development. The Managing Director of Swaleys Nigeria Ltd thanked the government for entrusting them with the project and described Governor Ododo as a leader concerned about rural communities.
