Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company has made history by unveiling Nigeria’s first locally produced electric vehicle. According to Cornel Osigwe, Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs at IVM, “This milestone marks a significant advancement in the country’s automotive sector and demonstrates our commitment to innovation and sustainability.”
The electric vehicle was manufactured at IVM’s state-of-the-art production facility in Nnewi, Anambra State. Osigwe noted, “We are proud to have achieved this feat, which showcases the capabilities of Nigerian engineers and technicians.”
The launch of the electric vehicle is expected to boost the Nigerian automotive industry and contribute to the country’s economic growth. As Osigwe stated, “This is a testament to the fact that with the right investment and support, Nigerian companies can compete globally.”
