Isaac Okpanachi Emerges Full Gospel President – NIGERIA
Barrister Isaac Okpanachi has emerged as the National President of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International – Nigeria, following a keenly contested election that exemplified a fair and peaceful transition of leadership. Okpanachi succeeds Arc. Ifeanyi Odedo, who served a remarkable 16-year tenure marked by dynamic leadership.
The election was conducted during the Fellowship’s landmark Nigeria National Council meeting at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, over the weekend. Okpanachi secured 1,162 votes, outpacing two other nominees Arc. Wale Ademo (606 votes) and Engr. Okeoma Agu (223 votes). The results were announced by Chidi Ilogu, SAN, the head of the Fellowship’s electoral body and National Legal Adviser.
Okpanachi assumes leadership at a pivotal time in the Fellowship’s growth and expansion. He is expected to consolidate past achievements and introduce innovative strategies to further the Full Gospel mission. Isaac, has wealth of experience spanning over 37 years within the Fellowship. He has held various leadership positions, including Chapter President of Abuja’s Wuse Chapter, National Director, Abuja, District Coordinator, Abuja, and most recently, National Vice President for National Outreaches.
Speaking after his inauguration by Dr. Olushola Ajulore, Chairman of FGBMFI – Nigeria, Board of Trustees, Barrister Okpanachi expressed his commitment to building on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor, Arc. Ifeanyi Odedo. He acknowledged Odedo’s dynamic and visionary leadership, emphasizing the significant legacy he has left behind. Okpanachi called for the prayers and support of all members as the Fellowship embarks on a new chapter.
Okpanachi hails from Ejule, Kogi State. He is a graduate of the University of Lagos, where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree before being called to the Nigerian Bar. He has since established a distinguished legal career in Abuja. Additionally, he is the proprietor of the International Community School and the Christian Community School, both located in Abuja.
Barrister Okpanachi is married to amiable Jan Okpanachi, an American, who describes herself as an American by birth and a Nigerian at heart. Jan is very much loved in the Fellowship. She would assume a great role in the Ladies of the Fellowship. They are blessed with two children—a son and a daughter. He is also a proud grandfather. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, jogging, and playing volleyball.
