Israel Expands Military Strikes Across Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza Amid Rising Civilian Toll

On July 15, 2025, Israel expanded its military operations across several regional fronts, targeting Hezbollah sites in Lebanon, Syrian government forces in Suwayda, and continuing its air campaign in the Gaza Strip.

In Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, Israeli airstrikes struck positions associated with Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force.

The assault killed at least 12 individuals, including five Hezbollah operatives and seven Syrian laborers.

Israeli officials described the attack as a direct response to ongoing threats and as a warning to Lebanon’s government to enforce the demilitarization of its southern border.

The strikes mark one of the deadliest escalations in Lebanon since the November 2024 ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes carried out attacks in southern Syria near Suwayda, where government troops had reportedly been moving to suppress local Druze opposition.

Israel claims the operation was a pre-emptive move to protect the region’s Druze minority and to deter Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from sending reinforcements.

Local Syrian reports confirmed several casualties but provided limited details amid communication blackouts.

In Gaza, Israeli military actions intensified once again. At least 23 Palestinians were killed on July 15 alone, following the deaths of 78 others the previous day.

This brings the death toll in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to at least 58,386, according to the territory’s Health Ministry.

More than 139,000 people have been injured in the ongoing conflict. One of the latest Israeli strikes, which killed six children at a water distribution point, was described by the Israeli army as a “technical error.”

Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, settlers launched attacks in the village of Burqa, setting Palestinian farmland and vehicles on fire.

The violence erupted just hours after a diplomatic delegation—comprising over 20 representatives from international churches and foreign missions—visited the nearby Christian town of Taybeh.

The delegation condemned settler violence and urged Israeli authorities to take action against impunity, but no arrests have been reported.

As Israel’s war expands beyond Gaza, regional tensions are heightening, drawing in neighboring countries and raising international concern over the scope and humanitarian toll of the conflict.
