Jamaica is looking for 400 Nigerian professionals to fill workforce gaps, according to the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC).
The agency confirmed that the Caribbean country is prepared to offer full salaries to the selected workers.
NTAC’s Director-General, Yusuf Yakub, shared this information in Abuja during the deployment of 16 volunteers to the Republic of Benin and Rwanda.
He said Nigeria continues to support African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) countries through technical assistance programs.
Yakub also mentioned that NTAC is shifting from purely humanitarian missions to organized employment opportunities where countries are willing to pay for Nigerian workers.
He added that the agency aims to generate revenue while fulfilling its international obligations.
Jafaru Usman, an engineer leading the new volunteer team, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to global development.
Since its creation in 1987, NTAC has sent over 10,000 volunteers to ACP nations and international institutions.
