Federico Gatti is set to miss Juventus’ upcoming clash against Roma after suffering a fractured fibula in his left leg.
Juventus confirmed on Monday that medical tests revealed a compound fracture in the defender’s fibula. The injury occurred during Juve’s 1-0 victory over Genoa on Saturday, forcing Gatti to leave the pitch in the first half. The match was also the debut of interim coach Igor Tudor, who replaced Thiago Motta.
While Juventus has not provided an official recovery timeline, reports from Italian media suggest the 26-year-old defender could be sidelined for about a month. His absence will be a setback for the team as they continue their push for a top-four finish in Serie A.
