Governor Abba Yusuf says his administration has earmarked N4.8 billion for the execution of various developmental projects in the 44 LGAs.
He has also announced plans to engage with supervisory councillors and advisers to strengthen local governance and ensure that development projects align with the people’s needs.
The governor made the announcement during his hosting of the Forum of Supervisory Councillors and Advisers from the 44 LGAs. This was announced in a statement on Thursday.
It acknowledged the critical role of supervisory councillors and advisers in ensuring the effective implementation of development projects and policies that respond to the people’s needs.
The commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Muhammad Zaura, expressed optimism about Yusuf’s return in 2027, citing his unprecedented achievements and positive transformation of Kano.
The ALGON chairwoman in Kano, Sa’adatu Yusha’u, commended the governor’s exemplary leadership and assured continued support for the betterment of Kano.
The forum’s chairman, Hudu Takai, stated that it was established to support the state government in implementing its policies and programmes.
