Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has pledged unwavering support for security agencies to maintain safety and order across the state.
Governor Yusuf made this commitment on Monday while receiving the wife of the Inspector General of Police, Elizabeth Kayode Egbetokun, who led members of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) on a courtesy visit to the Government House.
In a statement issued by the Director-General of Media and Publicity, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, the governor underscored the importance of security in fostering progress and well-being in Kano State. He assured continued logistical and operational backing for the police.
“We remain steadfast in supporting the police and other security agencies because the safety of lives and property is critical to the progress and well-being of our people,” Yusuf said.
He added that his administration prioritizes creating a secure environment through collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
The visit by POWA’s leadership highlighted the partnership between Kano State and the police in ensuring safety and enhancing the welfare of officers’ families.
