Kim Kardashian has taken a major step toward becoming a lawyer by completing a legal training program in California, even though she did not attend law school or receive a formal degree.
This happened in the United States, where California is one of the few places that allows aspiring lawyers to skip traditional law school and instead study under practicing attorneys. The program is known as the Law Office Study Program and offers a different way to reach the legal profession.
Kardashian, now 44, joined the program a few years ago. While the standard duration is four years, she ended up taking six years due to a mix of pandemic-related delays and her demanding schedule as a media personality and entrepreneur. She started with college credits and worked through a full legal curriculum while balancing her career and personal responsibilities.
She took on this challenge because she has grown passionate about criminal justice reform. Her public work includes helping with clemency petitions and speaking out about the need for change in the justice system. This path allows her to train for the bar exam without ever stepping into a law school classroom.
Although she won’t receive a law degree, finishing this program means she is now eligible to sit for the California Bar Exam. That exam will determine whether she can practice law officially in the state.
Kardashian shared her journey with fans through social media, explaining how difficult and rewarding the process has been. Now that she has completed the program, all that remains is the final hurdle of passing the bar exam to achieve her goal of becoming a lawyer.
