Kogi-born Danladi Isa has taken office as the 34th Commissioner of Police in Abia State, vowing to harness intelligence gathering and technology to track and apprehend criminal elements.
The gallant Commissioner of Police, also committed to prioritising human rights, promising a fair, impartial, and accessible approach to policing.
CP Isa’s mission is clear: “to ensure peace, promote a conducive environment, and collaborate with all stakeholders to sustain peace.” He believes that intelligence-led policing is crucial in tackling modern crime challenges, allowing the police to stay one step ahead by preventing crimes before they occur
With over three decades of policing experience, CP Isa brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. His impressive credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University and an MBA from Imo State University. He’s served in various capacities, including Deputy Commissioner of Police in Lagos and Assistant Commissioner of Police in Delta State Command, Ondo State Command, and Airport Command.
CP Isa has also received numerous awards for his commitment to national security and law enforcement, including the Commissioner of Police Commendation for Hard Work and the Inspector General’s Commendation for Merit.
In his maiden press briefing, CP Isa emphasised the importance of community involvement in maintaining law and order. He warned officers against corrupt practices, stating that any unprofessional conduct would face decisive and punitive measures.
He hails from Oganenigu in Dekina local governments of Kogi State.
