On March 15, 2025, over 1,000 people gathered in West London for the Palestinian Forum in Britain’s 9th annual Iftar.
The event combined faith, culture, and activism to support Gaza amid ongoing Israeli attacks and a harsh blockade.
The event aimed to raise funds for families in Gaza who continue to face extreme hardship. By the end of the evening, enough money was collected to sponsor 40 families, offering much-needed relief to those affected by the conflict.
The evening featured powerful moments of prayer led by guest reciter Ahmed Al-Nafis, who offered heartfelt supplications for the people of Gaza. Palestinian Forum spokesperson Maisara Ibrahim urged attendees to maintain pressure on the UK government to stop arms exports to Israel and lift restrictions on pro-Palestine protests. He stressed the importance of continuous activism to hold Israel accountable for its actions.
In addition to fundraising and activism, the event showcased Palestinian culture. Attendees enjoyed traditional dishes like kunafa, while a cultural quiz and documentary screenings highlighted the harsh realities of life in Gaza.
The large turnout reflected growing public support for Palestine in the UK. Attendees expressed their commitment to standing with Gaza and advocating for justice until the occupation ends.
