The exceptional mentorship of Dr. Tijani Aliyu Ahmed, the Federal Commissioner/CEO of the National Commission For Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, NCFRMI, has been a significant factor in Hon. Muhammed Sani Otto’s remarkable political ascent, solidifying his position as a leading politician in Nasarawa State.
A case study of Hon. Otto’s trajectory reveals that he hails from a reputable family of Otto Okpoku in Onda village, Onda/Kana/Apawu Ward, in Udege, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, and was personally groomed by Dr. Tijani. Prior to Dr. Tijani’s recognition of his potential, Hon. Otto was already an active and dedicated member of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), demonstrating unwavering loyalty and commitment to its objectives.
Under Dr. Tijani’s guidance, he served as Supervisory Councilor for Education, later being elected as Executive Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government, a position he held for an unprecedented second term, a testament to Dr. Tijani’s profound influence. Their enduring relationship, built on mutual respect and trust, has withstood the test of time. When Hon. Otto’s tenure concluded, Dr. Tijani’s mentorship continued to yield dividends, as he was appointed Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, and Investment by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
It is evident that Dr. Tijani’s guidance has been instrumental in Hon. Otto’s success, raising the question: Who else in Nasarawa West has demonstrated comparable dedication to nurturing a politician from grassroots to prominence? The annals of Nasarawa State’s political history will forever be intertwined with the names of Dr. Tijani Aliyu Ahmed and Hon. Muhammed Sani Otto, with Dr. Tijani cementing his status as a revered political icon and paragon. May Allah continue to bless and guide Dr. Tijani Aliyu Ahmed, Hon. Muhammed Sani Otto, and the people of Nasarawa State, granting them wisdom, peace, and prosperity.
