The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has exposed a faith-based organization, Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries, for illegally producing, selling, and advertising unregistered and suspected unwholesome “miracle” products.
According to NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, “The public is advised to stop patronizing any of these Miracle products. NAFDAC is a scientific organization guided by verifiable scientific facts before registering any product.”
The agency received petitions about Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omotofufeyin’s claims of healing and miracle properties of his “Miracle Water” and “Miracle Soap,” which he advertised on social media. NAFDAC’s investigation revealed that the products were not registered with the agency, and the organization used a fake NAFDAC registration number.
NAFDAC has sealed the factory of Globod Table Water, which allegedly aided in the production of the unregistered products. The agency warns faith organizations against illegal production of regulated products without meeting regulatory requirements.
“NAFDAC wishes to inform the public that none of these products being advertised and sold are registered with NAFDAC,” said Prof. Adeyeye. “We will continue to safeguard the health of Nigerians.”
