The Nigerian Air Force has announced that recent air operations under Operation Hadin Kai killed many terrorists and destroyed their hideout in Borno State.
The operation was carried out on Wednesday morning at about 10:50 a.m. in the Bula Madibale and Gezuwa area.
According to the Air Force, surveillance teams had earlier detected unusual activities at the location, where about 45 fighters were seen gathering. Some of the insurgents were reported to have arrived on motorcycles and bicycles from different routes. Reconnaissance further showed two flags raised at the site, suggesting it was being used as a base and meeting point for the group.
Based on this intelligence, the Air Force launched targeted airstrikes on the area. The raid killed several terrorists, destroyed structures, and wiped out other assets linked to the insurgents. The attack also disrupted their ability to regroup, move supplies, or plan new assaults on nearby communities.
The Air Force noted that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to weaken terrorist networks and restore peace in the North East. Military authorities also restated their commitment to securing the region and ensuring that residents are protected from further attacks.
