Nasarawa State Lawmaker Distributes Fertilizers, Cash Rewards to Constituents
Akwanga, Nasarawa State – Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa, Chief Whip of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Committee on Health, has distributed two trailer loads of fertilizers to his constituents in Akwanga North Constituency. The event, tagged the 2nd Edition of the annual Value Addition Agricultural Empowerment Scheme, also featured cash rewards for excellence to individuals and groups.
His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, was a special guest of honor at the event, which was attended by dignitaries including Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, Hon. JJ Umaru, and Hon. Dr. Kwanta Yakubu Bohar.
According to Hon. Ven-Bawa, “The distribution of fertilizers is aimed at complementing the efforts of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, in prioritizing agriculture to alleviate hardship and starvation in the constituency and state.”
Beneficiaries of the cash rewards included members of the campaign council, coordinators, media teams, and delegates who voted for Hon. Ven-Bawa during the 2022 primary elections.
“This empowerment scheme is a testament to the commitment of Hon. Ven-Bawa to the development of Akwanga North Constituency,” said Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule.
The event was hailed as a joyous moment for the constituents, who expressed gratitude for the timely distribution of fertilizers and cash rewards.*”This will go a long way in boosting our agricultural productivity and improving our livelihoods,”* said a beneficiary, Mr. Ado Tasha.
The program was seen as a demonstration of Hon. Ven-Bawa’s dedication to the welfare of his constituents and his efforts to promote agriculture in the constituency.
