The theme for the summit is, “Collaborative Action for Growth, Competitiveness, and Stability,”

Also, the summit will focus on creating actionable strategies to tackle issues of stability, economic growth, and inclusivity in Nigeria.

The Acting Head of Strategic Communication and Advocacy at NESG, Ms Ayanyinka Ayanlowo, who disclosed in a statement issued to newsmen on Saturday said, “The theme encapsulates the essence of what is needed to propel Nigeria towards a more prosperous, inclusive, and resilient future.”

She noted that the summit will mark a significant milestone for NESG, which has been at the forefront of Nigeria’s economic transformation for the past 30 years.

“The Nigerian Economic Summit has been instrumental in transitioning Nigeria from a state-led economy to a more dynamic, private-sector-driven one. This summit will continue to build on that legacy, facilitating discussions that will influence the nation’s policies and strategies,” Ayanlowo emphasised.

According to the statement, one of the key objectives of the summit will be fostering collaboration between government agencies, businesses, civil society, and international partners. This collaboration is essential for addressing Nigeria’s current socioeconomic challenges and ensuring a stable environment conducive to growth and investment.

“We need collective action now more than ever. Stability cannot be achieved by one sector alone; it requires synergy across all stakeholders,” the statement noted.

The NESG also reiterated Nigeria’s significant role in shaping Africa’s economic landscape, stressing that the country’s performance directly impacts regional dynamics due to its large domestic market, natural resources, and corporate influence across the continent.

“Nigeria is not just an economic powerhouse for itself but for the whole of Africa. The strategies and outcomes from this summit will have a far-reaching impact, not only within Nigeria but across Africa as a whole,” Ayanlowo stated.

It will also focus on promoting inclusive growth by identifying policies that ensure no segment of society is left behind. The summit aims to tackle inequalities by fostering discussions on job creation, entrepreneurship, and innovative solutions that can drive competitiveness.

“We must ensure that growth reaches all Nigerians, from the most urban to the most rural areas. This summit is not just about policy but about tangible actions that can uplift everyone,” the statement read.

Over the years, the Nigerian Economic Summit has been pivotal in driving key reforms in sectors such as banking, telecommunications, and energy. With the 30th edition, NESG plans to build on these successes by laying out a clear path toward a more integrated and prosperous Nigeria.

According to the NESG, the outcomes of this year’s summit will play a significant role in shaping Nigeria’s economic policies moving forward.
