Brigadier General Haruna Dasuki has officially handed over command of 12 Brigade to Brigadier General Oluremi Fadairo at the Brigade’s Headquarters Chari Maigumeri Barracks.
While delivering his farewell speech at the Brigade Parade Ground, Brigadier General Dasuki reflected on his time in command.
He expressed his gratitude to the officers and soldiers for their unwavering support to him, dedication and commitment to duty, under his leadership, noting that it was an honour to serve alongside such a dedicated team.
General Dasuki further charged the troops to continue to support his predecessor in all possible ways so as to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the high standards of the Brigade’s operations.

In his maiden address to troops of the Brigade, the incoming commander, Brigadier General Fadairo, expressed his appreciation to his predecessor and troops for the warm welcome given to him, while pledging his commitment to continue in the good legacy which General Dasuki has successfully laid.
General Fadairo, also emphasized on the need for troops to remain disciplined and continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and service; ensuring effective implementation of the pillars as contained in the Chief of Army Staff’s,COAS, Command Philosophy.
Prior to his new appointment, Brigadier General Fadairo served as the Commander, 17 Brigade NA and Commander Sector 2 Joint Task Force Northwest Operation HADARIN DAJI (JTF NW OPHD).
The handing and taking over ceremony, featured the signing of the handing and taking over notes, handing over of the Brigade’s flag to the incoming Commander, tour of the Barracks, inspection of Quarter Guard and group photograph.
