Ngas Nation Demands Justice Over Murder of Former Immigration Boss, David Paradang
The Ngas Development Association (NDA) has condemned the mysterious death of David Shikfu Paradang, a former Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, and demanded justice for his family and the Ngas community.
“We are outraged by the circumstances surrounding Paradang’s death, and we call on the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the alleged killers and bring them to justice,” said Andrew Amos Gogwim, National Publicity Secretary of the NDA.
The association expressed confidence in the ability of the Nigeria Police and other security agencies to unravel the mystery, but urged them to expedite the process. “We have faith in the professionalism of the security agencies and their ability to get to the bottom of the case,” Gogwim added.
The NDA also criticized the manner in which the news of Paradang’s death was announced, as well as the contradictory reports surrounding the incident. “We are concerned about the conflicting reports and the lack of transparency in the investigation,” Gogwim said.
In a statement, Gogwim appealed to all Ngas sons and daughters to refrain from making posts or comments on social media about the issue, as the police and other security agencies are still conducting investigations. “Let us respect the memory of our late brother and leader, and allow the security agencies to do their job,” he said.
The Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has also mourned the demise of Paradang, describing his death as a “monumental loss” to the state and the nation.
