The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, China Alumni Association of Nigeria, and the University of Abuja hosted a seminar on “Promoting Culture and Tourism Exchange in BRI Cooperation” to strengthen cultural and tourism ties between both nations.
Mr. Li Xuda, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy and Director of China Cultural Center in Nigeria, welcomed attendees and emphasized the importance of people-to-people bonds in BRI cooperation. He highlighted the vast cultural and tourism resources of both countries and expressed optimism for future exchange and cooperation.
James Sule, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy/Tourism, represented the Minister and commended the Chinese Embassy and China Alumni Association for organizing the seminar. He acknowledged the achievements of Nigeria-China bilateral cultural relations and reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing cultural exchanges, collaborations, and joint initiatives in the Creative Economy Sector.
The seminar aimed to bridge cultural gaps, strengthen mutual understanding, and promote cooperation in the fields of art, culture, and creative economy. Participants included lecturers, artists, and cultural experts from both countries.
The event highlighted the significance of BRI cooperation in promoting cultural and tourism exchange, facilitating economic cooperation, and deepening cultural appreciation and understanding between Nigeria and China.
