Nigerian officials have made a significant bust at Lagos airport, seizing 19.4 kilograms of cocaine worth approximately $2.93 million from a passenger arriving from Ethiopia.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested a 48-year-old Nigerian businessman, who had previously been convicted of trafficking but avoided jail time by paying a fine.
According to NDLEA chief Mohammed Buba Marwa, “The agency will continue to work to disrupt the activities of drug cartels operating in the country”

The seized cocaine, totaling 817 wraps, was found on the passenger who arrived on September 18.
