Nigeria and India have signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen cooperation in cultural exchange, survey collaboration, and customs operations, marking a significant step in bilateral relations between the two nations.
The agreements were signed in Abuja by Nigeria’s Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dumoma Ahmed, and India’s Secretary for Economic Relations, Mr. Dammu Ravi.
Ambassador Ahmed hailed the agreements as a testament to the shared vision and mutual commitment of both nations toward fostering growth, innovation, and sustainable development.
“These MoUs symbolize a deep and enduring partnership that reflects the aspirations of our peoples,” he said.
Mr. Ravi described the agreements as a continuation of the long-standing relationship between Nigeria and India.
“India-Nigeria relations have evolved significantly over time, and these agreements are a testament to our growing cooperation,” he noted during the signing ceremony.
The partnership comes at a time when both nations seek to bolster trade, cultural ties, and technical collaboration, underscoring their status as key players in Africa-Asia relations.
