Nigeria’s Youngest FIMC Fellow Emphasizes The Need For Continuous Learning

By Emmanuel Awari-Jalingo

A Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants FIMC, Israel Rimanchika Yabkwa has emphasize on the need for Nigerians to continue learning despite their ages.

He stated this in a Whatsapp Interwie with our Correspondent.

“Don’t stop learning. As Henry Ford said, “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.” Stay hungry for knowledge and never assume you’ve arrived. There’s always a next level if you’re willing to keep showing up for it.

“Yes. I’d love to leave you with the words of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe: “The pride of a man is not in never falling, but in rising every time he falls.”
We can achieve anything, absolutely anything — if we dare to dream and take bold action.

“As I often say: “If you’re too keen about your comfort, what God has placed in you may never come forth.” So get uncomfortable. Stretch. Become.

“The experiences and challenges faced during my studies and work leading up to this milestone, at the time of the program, I was deeply involved with multiple businesses and high-net-worth clients. Balancing all of that with the rigour of professional training was tough. But I made the time because I knew the certification wasn’t just a formality. It was necessary for the future I’m building. And that’s the mindset I carry: growth must be deliberate.

“It’s fulfilling. I’ve always believed in lifelong learning, so being recognized at this level and discovering I’m the youngest among the Fellows is both humbling and motivating. It reminds me that growth is not just about age or titles but about intentional investment in knowledge and service.

“Anyone can become anything if they take responsibility for their growth and contribution – he said.

Israel Rimamchika Yabkwa has become the youngest Nigerian ever named a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC), achieving the prestigious recognition at just 27 years old.

The fellowship, awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, influence, and commitment to national development, places Yabkwa among the country’s most respected consulting professionals.

Earlier this year, he was also honoured with the Emerging Leader Award by the MLA Foundation, which celebrates young Africans driving bold change with vision, character, and courage.

A graduate of Covenant University in Information and Communication Engineering and author of “From Isolation to Greatness and Unmask, Yabkwa stands as one of Africa’s most promising voices in leadership, learning, and generational impact. More grace to your elbows.
