Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT has applauded the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Mr. Kefas Agbu for appointing own member, Emmanuel Bello Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications.
In a press statement released in Abuja Tuesday, jointly signed by Comrades Oseratin Osadebawen and Ochiaka Ugwu, Ag Chairman and Secretary of council respectively, it noted that the appointment was well deserved given to Bello’s experience in the media.
“It is on record that as editor of different media organisations, Bello raised the bar in areas of performance, integrity and credibility rating of Nigerian media.
“We also have the belief that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear on the management of the media image of the executive governor in particular and Taraba State in general at this critical time of our national development.
“Make no mistake about it, the naming of Bello, who previously served as Commissioner of Information and ran an issue based unrivaled media activities shows clearly the intellectual depth of Gov. Kefas Agbu”.
NUJ FCT, however wished Bello a successful tenure in office and prayed that he would use his good office to stimulate issue-based discourse that would set the agenda for Taraba State development.
