The organizers of the Oganenigu Communities Agricultural Show are pleased to announce the maiden edition of this landmark event, scheduled to hold alongside the Olugu Cultural Festival on December 26, 2025.
According to Dr. Michael Alfa, this remarkable initiative presents a golden opportunity to showcase the collective mission of empowering Oganenigu farmers while driving agricultural transformation through innovation and technology.
Speaking on the importance of the event, the Chairman of AOTDF, Mallam Aminu Faruna, noted that the agricultural show will focus on key areas essential for building a resilient, productive, and sustainable agricultural sector across the Oganenigu communities in Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi State — and by extension, Nigeria as a whole.
Also commenting, Hon. Khalid Yusuf highlighted that the Oganenigu communities are blessed with vast and fertile lands, holding immense potential to contribute significantly to food security in Kogi State and beyond. He added that, when properly harnessed, this potential can transform local livelihoods, enhance economic well-being, and boost rural development.
