Ohanaeze To Gov Lawal: Focus On Restoring Peace In Zamfara, Not Tinubu, Matawalle

The Ohanaeze Youth Coalition Worldwide (OYCW), has noted with concern the recent “diversionary actions” of Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, asked the governor to focus on restoring peace.

In a statement, President General of OYCW, Emeka Ogudu, made available to SUMMIT POST in Abuja, said these actions hinder the progress being made in resolving the security crisis and must be addressed to restore peace and stability to the region.

The group said Governor Lawal’s persistence in singling out former Governor Bello Matawalle while simultaneously calling for the resignation of the President raises questions about his motives and intentions.

“The timing and coincidence of these actions have sparked public scrutiny and warrant further any deeper interrogation.

“The OYCW believes that Governor Lawal’s persistent blame game against the federal government is a deliberate strategy aimed at deepening misunderstandings and frustrating collaboration against insecurity.

“This behavior suggests a dubious personal political agenda rather than a genuine concern for the welfare and security of the state’s citizens. By shifting blame onto others, Governor Lawal diverts attention from his own potential shortcomings in addressing the security challenges faced by the state.

“Furthermore, the ongoing public scrutiny surrounding Governor Lawal’s potential involvement in criminal activities within the state raises suspicions about his motives and intentions. It is imperative to thoroughly investigate these claims to ensure transparency and accountability in governance.

“Governor Lawal’s decision to target former Governor Bello Matawalle specifically raises questions about his motivations. Is his action driven by a genuine concern for justice and accountability, or is there a personal or political vendetta at play? The timing of this action, coupled with the ongoing public scrutiny, suggests that Governor Lawal may be using these tactics to divert attention from his own potential wrongdoings.

“Additionally, Governor Lawal’s call for the President’s resignation adds complexity to the situation. While he has the right to express his opinion, the coincidence of targeting both the former governor and the President raises suspicions about his true intentions,” the statement read in part.
