Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has inaugurated the Governing Council and Board of Trustees for Ojaja University, a private institution located in Ilorin, Kwara State. The inauguration took place at the monarch’s palace in Ile-Ife, with prominent scholars and professionals appointed to lead the university.
According to Ooni Ogunwusi, “We are here to create a structure that will allow us to produce valuable innovators who will not only be academically and morally sound but also globally great innovators.”
Professor Lere Baale was inaugurated as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, while Engr. Yusuf Olanrewaju Sagaya was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Other notable members of the Governing Council and Board of Trustees include Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, Sen. Gbemisola Saraki, and Oba Adedokun Abolarin Aroyinkeye 1, among others.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jeleel Ojuade, expressed satisfaction with the appointments, noting that the individuals are distinguished by their formidable careers and dedication to excellence in various fields.
The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the establishment of Ojaja University, which aims to produce innovators and leaders who will contribute to the development of the country.
