Paul Gallagher, aged 59 and the elder brother of Oasis frontmen Liam and Noel Gallagher, was formally charged today in London with multiple serious offences, including rape.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the charges also cover three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of threats to kill, assault causing actual bodily harm, and coercive and controlling behaviour.
These allegations refer to incidents said to have taken place between 2022 and 2024.
Gallagher resides in East Finchley, North London, and is not involved in Oasis. His defence team has confirmed that he denies all allegations and has cooperated with investigators throughout the process.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that victims’ support is being provided by specially trained officers as part of ongoing safeguarding measures.
Gallagher is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. No plea has been entered publicly.
Meanwhile, Oasis is in the midst of their “Live ’25” reunion tour—their first full band performances in the UK since 2009. The siblings Liam and Noel continue to perform across London, Edinburgh, Dublin and soon North America. Paul Gallagher has not taken part in the tour.
