A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Usman Okai Austin, has commended Kogi East senator, Jibrin Isah Echocho for his tireless dedication to the Anyigba-Dekina-Bassa road construction project.
During a recent site visit, Okai expressed delight at the progress made so far, saying, “I’m thrilled to see the construction work on the Anyigba-Dekina road to Bassa is ongoing, thanks to Senator Echocho’s unwavering efforts in keeping the project on track.”
Okai highlighted the significance of the project, emphasising its potential to boost economic development in Dekina local government and Bassa. “The completion of this strategic road will be a game-changer for our people, connecting key towns like Anyigba, Dekina, Abocho, Ogbabo, and Olowa, and facilitating trade, commerce, and social interactions,” he explained.

The PDP chieftain commended Senator Echocho’s constant engagement with the minister and the construction company, TEC ENGINEERING, saying it has been instrumental in keeping the project on track. “The people of Dekina and Bassa are eagerly awaiting the completion of this vital road, which will transform their lives and livelihoods,” Okai said, adding that he will continue to monitor the project’s progress and provide updates.
In a passionate appeal, Okai urged Senator Echocho to ensure the project’s completion, saying, “Our complaints are working, Distinguished Senator Echocho, please get this done… We need it, and we need this road badly.”
