PDP: How S’Court judgement exposed PDP Spokesman — Lawyers

The Main Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has disown an invitation letter Purported signed by the deputy national secretary, Hon. (Arc.) Setonji Koshoedo, inviting state chairmen to a 99TH NEC meeting.

The party subtilly advised party faithfuls and Nigerians to disregard any communication emanating from the self acclaimed acting national secretary.

The National secretary, distinguish senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has denied having knowledge of such communication.

According to statement issued by his Spokesman, Comrade Dabiokiobo Z Warmate on Friday, the National secretary said, his principal didn’t authorize the deputy national secretary to issue such misleading notice.

“We therefore, urge and advise all state chairmen and esteemed members of NEC of our great party to disregard, any of such notice of invitation that does not emanate from the office of the national secretary himself, the most distinguish senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu.”He said.

Comrade Warmate stressed that PDP has substantive national secretary and as such, it is in the figment of the imagination of the person parading himself and those thinking PDP has an acting national secretary.

He emphasize that, following section 36 (1)b, of the PDP constitution as amended in 2017, it is one of the core responsibilities/functions of the national secretary and not the deputy national secretary to issue notice of NWC, NEC, CAUCUS and CONVENTION. And all extant and relevant laws in the PDP constitution as amended in 2017, and the supreme court judgement, points to the fact that, most distinguish senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, as always, remains the national secretary of PDP and in due time will issue formal notice of any meetings.

He urged members of the Party to be properly guided and not be misled by mischief makers.
