Goge, who described the elder statesman as a father and role model said it’s just a fatherly visit.

“He’s a father and a role model and so it’s just a fatherly visit. We are a family and here seems to be my home too. So, I came to offer visitations and greetings too and also look for fatherly blessings”,

“Like I said, I’m just doing consultations for now, looking for pieces of advice from my fathers and expecting their fatherly blessings”,

“When I was growing up, I saw my Dad doing just what I am doing now on a daily basis so when I got the privilege, chance and opportunity, I also have the passion to give back to the society”,

On if he has any interest for a particular political position come 2027 hence the visits and consultations, Saleem said: “Most of us, came from a political family, when the time comes and when politics presents itself, I wouldn’t say no”,

Reacting to what motivated him to distribute some items to some communities in Jalingo local government recently. He reiterated that his father was a politician and philanthropist saying he wants to sustain his father’s legacy.

“My father has been a politician, and a philanthropist and so I want to build up and sustain his legacy”

“Any child that is being raised well knows that it’s good that when you are in town, you have to go out for family visits, to your loved ones, especially the elders in the society. Visit them, bless them and receive blessings and advice from them too”, he added.

Our Correspondent gathered that Dr. Saleem Iliyasu Goje was escorted on the visit by youths who were chanting solidarity songs for him as sign of courage to him.
