The Cross River State Police Command has declared a 30 year old male student of the University of Calabar, Benjamin Hilda missing and appealed to the public for information that could help trace his whereabouts.
In a statement issued in Calabar by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Eitokpah, the Command said Hilda, a student of the Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Calabar, left his residence in early 2025 for an undisclosed destination and has not been seen since.
According to the police, he was last in contact with his family in March 2025. Since then, all attempts by his guardians, friends and colleagues to reach him or determine his location have been unsuccessful.
Hilda, who hails from Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, is described as fair in complexion, tall and fluent in Tiv and English.
The Command called on members of the public with credible information about his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact the Police Public Relations Officer through the designated telephone lines.
The police assured that any information provided would be treated with utmost confidentiality and urged residents to cooperate with security agencies to facilitate his safe return.
