Management of National Youth Service Corps wishes to inform Members of the public, especially Prospective Corps Members, Parents and their Guardians that deployment, posting, relocation and other services including kit items and NYSC booklets on security, entrepreneurship among others are issued to Corps Members on arrival at the Orientation Camps at no cost.
The Scheme advised stakeholders to beware of some unscrupulous persons that were using online platforms to defraud the unsuspecting Members of the public by advertising NYSC kits that the Scheme gives Corps to Members in Camp.
It also restated its commitment to ensuring that no Corps Member is defrauded by these online advertisers.
“Similarly, efforts are on-going with the security agencies to apprehend and prosecute the faceless individuals behind these ignominious acts.
“Meanwhile, as the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Orientation Course starts today, Prospective Corps Members are instructed not to embark on night journey while going to their respective Orientation Camps.
‘In case their trip is going beyond 6pm, they are advised to pass the night in any military or police barrack, NYSC Formation, Corps Lodges and other safe places and continue their journey the following day,” said the NYSC.
