Prince Harry Returns to UK for Charity Events Amid Questions Over Meeting King Charles

Prince Harry has returned to the United Kingdom for a brief visit that coincides with the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

The Duke of Sussex marked the occasion with a private tribute at Windsor, laying flowers at St. George’s Chapel, where the late monarch is buried alongside Prince Philip.

Harry, now living in California with his wife Meghan and their two children, is in England for several charity engagements.

On Monday evening he attended the annual WellChild Awards in London, an event he has supported for nearly two decades that celebrates children with serious health challenges and the families and caregivers who support them.

His schedule continues Tuesday in Nottingham, where he will visit the Community Recording Studio, a project that equips young people with film, music, and media skills.

During the visit, Harry is expected to announce a donation to Children in Need to help address youth violence.

He will also meet local partners and attend performances by young artists connected with the program.

It remains unclear whether Harry will meet with King Charles III during his stay.

The monarch is currently in Balmoral for his summer break, though he continues regular travel for ongoing cancer treatment. Buckingham Palace has not commented on the possibility of a reunion.

The last time father and son met was in February 2024, when Harry rushed to see the King following his cancer diagnosis.

Despite strained relations, reports earlier this year suggested cautious efforts to reopen communication between the Sussexes and the royal household.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, also marked the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death with public engagements, including a visit to the National Federation of Women’s Institutes in Sunningdale, an organization the late Queen supported for decades.
