In a brief interview with the Executive Director Weekenders Media Commercial Limited, the Publishers of Weekenders Magazine Online, JCIN Ambassador Princess Joy Omagha Idam, said the essence of giving out to the widows was in memory of her late mother, Mrs Bassey Ita – Chukwu Idam who touched the lives of orphaned children including widows positively when she was alive.

Helping the widows and vulnerable in the society she explained further is her major focus in life.Taking her text from Exodus Chapter 22 verse 22, she said God expresses concern for the widows and instructs people to take good care of them and provide for their needs.

“God encouraged people to take care of the needs of the widows because he sees their plight and has compassion for them”, Princess Idam said.

She said she would continue to reach out to the widows and the less privileged in the society as long as she lives.

The importance of supporting the widows she continued does not rest solely on the family, it is a community effort. We must collectively look after widows in our communities.

She therefore called on good spirited individuals, philanthropists to support the project in order to provide succour to widows in the country and the less privileged in the society.

Responding on behalf of the Widows, Mrs Dorcas Nwosu thanked the CEO for her kind gesture and prayed that God would grant her many more years in the land of the living.

Highlights of the occasion includes; cutting of birthday cake, dance with the widows and the widows prayed for Princess Idam.
