The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ankpa Local Fovernment of Kogi State has suffered another setback as a Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of the Local Government on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Kabiru Alhassan tendered his resignation letter.
While addressing the press, Hon Kabir ststed that his decision is borne out of the desire to chart a new course in his political journey, adding that, his previous party, the APC at the state level has failed to keep to its promise to the masses.
It would be recalled that , the party chairman in the same Local Government, Hon Abdullahi Zakari resigned from the party days ago.

Since renouncing his membership of the party and appointment, a source close to Hon. Kabiru hinted that, things are no longer the same as thousands of members of the party have been leaving APC to the Social Democratic Party, SDP, including the former chairman of the party at the local government. Hon Kabir commands large followership across the local government area.
Less than three months to the November 11, governorship election, Analysts predicts interesting days ahead.
In recent times, most of the decampees have all ported into the Social Democratic Party, SDP, making the governorship candidate of the party, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, the candidate to beat.
