In a continued push to boost infrastructure development across his immediate constituency, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has initiated the construction of the Betukwel-Bebua Road in the Begiading Ward of Obudu Local Government Area, Cross River State.
Represented by his Constituency Officer, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, the Senator reaffirmed his dedication to delivering meaningful development to the people of Cross River North. Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Mr. Mgbantul conveyed Senator Jarigbe’s gratitude to residents of Obudu for their steadfast support, reiterating his principal’s commitment to honoring all campaign promises.
“This road is more than just a construction project—it’s part of a broader strategy to improve rural connectivity, facilitate access to key services, and stimulate local commerce,” Mgbantul stated. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with the Senator’s vision for inclusive, people-focused development across the district.
According to him, the Betukwel-Bebua Road is one among several interventions being pursued by Senator Jarigbe to uplift living standards in the region. He highlighted the completion of clean water projects and the rollout of a street lighting scheme in the same ward as examples of ongoing efforts to improve community infrastructure.
“We’re not just talking development—we’re executing it,” Mgbantul added. “Senator Jarigbe is committed to seeing through every project he has started before the end of his current tenure.”
Local leaders, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders in attendance welcomed the project with enthusiasm, lauding the Senator’s hands-on approach to constituency development.
Several speakers expressed deep appreciation for the attention being given to grassroots areas and offered prayers for the Senator’s continued strength and success.
When completed, the Betukwel-Bebua Road is expected to enhance transportation, streamline the movement of goods and people, and unlock new economic opportunities for residents of Obudu and neighboring communities.
