Senator representing Taraba Southern Senatorial Zone, David JimKuta, has commended the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his outstanding performance in transforming Abuja, the capital city. Despite not being a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wike’s contributions to the party’s agenda have been significant.
During an interactive session with newsmen in Jalingo, Senator JimKuta described Wike as “the greatest asset for the APC” and a key player in fulfilling President Ahmed Bola Tinibu’s agenda. “We consider him as the greatest asset for the APC, and a key player in fulfilling the renewed heart agenda,” he said.
Senator JimKuta highlighted Wike’s achievements in transforming Abuja, saying, “When were you last in Abuja? I am sure you have been hearing news of the wonderful things he is doing in transforming the capital city.” He attributed Wike’s success to his commitment to excellence and dedication to serving the country.

However, Senator JimKuta acknowledged a face-off between Wike and Senator Ireta Kingibe, representing the FCT, but assured that the dispute would soon be resolved. “The situation will soon be resolved to avoid political tension and unnecessary false perceptions,” he said.
JimKuta downplayed the dispute, saying it was not about official matters but rather a misunderstanding of bureaucratic responsibilities. “I want to appreciate respectable Nigerians for their intervention in seeing that the dispute is being resolved. What is happening is not what people are thinking but just some common misunderstanding. I am assuring you that the matter will soon be resolved.”
On security matters, Senator JimKuta expressed concern, saying, “The Senate is so much concerned about the security situation in the country, that is why every day during our sittings, a point of order is being raised concerning the security situation in the country.” He emphasised the need for collective efforts to address the security challenges facing the nation.
