President of the South African Football Association (SAFA), Danny Jordaan, has extended his goodwill to the Super Eagles as they prepare to face DR Congo in the decisive World Cup playoff final.
Reflecting on South Africa’s group stage experience, which included Nigeria, Jordaan described the phase as “tight and very stressful,” noting the competitiveness of the Super Eagles throughout the qualifiers.
He offered his best wishes to Nigeria and also sent personal greetings to former NFF President Amaju Pinnick and incumbent President Ibrahim Gusau.
“Nigeria is a big team. They have players who are among the best in the world, and I hope they will play true to their form and ability and deliver the result,” Jordaan said in a message shared on SAFA’s official X handle.
The highly anticipated playoff final against DR Congo will determine Nigeria’s qualification for the World Cup.
