The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) in Taraba State has commended Governor Agbu Kefas for providing mobile science laboratory kits to secondary schools across the state. The distribution of 126 mobile science laboratory kits, facilitated by the state’s Ministry of Science and Technology, aims to bridge the infrastructure gap in schools while permanent laboratories are being constructed.
ASUSS Chairman, Comrade Sule Abasu, praised the governor’s free and compulsory education policy, stating that the provision of mobile science laboratory kits is timely and essential for students’ continued learning. Abasu emphasized the importance of science education and the need for adequate infrastructure to support it.

The state’s Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon. Muslim Abdulahi, presented the mobile science laboratory kits to benefiting principals, noting that this is the first phase of the program. The commissioner urged teachers to handle the kits with care to ensure their longevity while the governor works on constructing permanent laboratories for all schools.
The local government areas that benefited from the first phase of the distribution include Jalingo, Lau, Sadauna, Gasol, Wukari, and Zing.
Overall, the initiative has been widely appreciated, and ASUSS has expressed its support for the governor’s efforts to prioritize education in the state.
