The Taraba State Electricity Bill has been described as economically competitive with other states in the country by the Commissioner for Energy and Economic Development, Engr. Naomi Tanko Agbu.
Speaking at a public hearing organised by the Taraba State House Committee on Power, Agbu stated that the bill will provide a comprehensive legal framework for electricity generation, transmission, distribution, licensing, trading, and consumer rights in the state.
“The bill will promote policy and regulatory measures to ensure the expansion of power transmission networks in Taraba State, addressing any imbalance in the existing transmission infrastructure,” Agbu said.
